Pom Pom Clown

Hand built white Raku clay, black clay for the hair and a porcelain ruff.
Glaze, coloured slip, cold surfacing, gold Luster and a resin base.
I added some tiny golden ball earnings on hoops
for extra detailing.

This collection "minds brewing" is an ongoing series of characters I have created. Each one is pondering over a memory or caught in the moment, like a little snapshot frozen in time. The teeth I feel is what truly gives people there character so I always make them noticeable ware ever I can.
These sculptures also look great in pairs, their whole demeanor changes as you move them around one another. This gives you chance to create your own personal narratives through different compositions, for you to admire.
